Oamaru is on the East Coast of the South Island. In the late 1800s it was a thriving Port sending grain, wool and frozen meat around the world, resulting in the construction of grand and unique buildings and infrastructure.  Today it is the home of the biggest intact Victorian precinct in the Southern Hemisphere.
